#TipTuesday - The Broom
8/27/2019 (Permalink)
When cleaning up the house, most of us use a broom to sweep up dirt, dust, crumbs and anything else that ends up underfoot. But, when was the last time you thought about what all is trapped between those bristles?
When going through your cleaning routine, it is important to remember to clean your broom every now and then. If you have a broom with plastic bristles, it is really fast and easy to sanitize it. Simply get a bucket (or sink), fill with hot water, and add in dish soap, and a little bleach. Mix together with the broom, then let soak for 15-20 minutes.
Once it has soaked, rinse well, and let completely air dry.
Doing this can significantly cut down on germs, and can make your broom last even longer!
