#TipTuesday - Cleaning Sponges

One of the most popular tool to clean both bathrooms and kitchens have been around a long time. While they do a great job cleaning up, have you ever thought about what all is sucked up into them?
With being a moist, warm environment, they are the perfect breeding ground for germs and bacteria. While most people regularly replace their sponge, did you know you can easily disinfect them between switch outs?
All you need is your sponge, water and microwave.
Wet the sponge, place in the microwave, and turn it on high for 2-3 minutes while keeping an eye on it. Once it is done, open the door and let it sit for a few minutes to cool.
Your sponge is now germ free! You can also add lemon juice to the sponge for a great smelling microwave and kitchen.
