#BePrepared for Storm Season!

Being September, we are right in the middle of Hurricane Season. Because of this, utilize the technology that we use in our everyday lives. #PreparedNotScared
Charge Up
During Storm Season, always keep a phone charger with you and in your car. This can really help you out if you have any problems during both a major storm, or in everyday life.
Mark Yourself Safe
The Red Cross has a “Make Yourself Safe” program during major disasters that is utilized through Facebook. When you login to the app, it will give you a notification telling you that you are able to check in. This is a quick way to let your family and friends know that you are safe!
Store Important Documents Online
Ready.Gov suggested to upload important medical records, important information about your pets, insurance policies, identification for each family member, and any other irreplaceable documents. While you may not need them in an emergency, they might still come in handy day-to-day. A couple of these free services are Google Drive and Drop Box.
Follow News Outlets
Go onto your social media and follow different Storm accounts. You may also be able to set up notifications or text messages to come to your phone.
Get in Touch
Make sure to have a paper copy of important contacts posted in your home for everyone to have access to, along with having these numbers saved in each cellphone in the home.
