2019 Illinois Storm

At the end of September, SERVPRO of Daviess County, Kentucky got the call that there was a microburst in Chicago, Illinois, and were asked if they could assist with the cleanup. After going home and grabbing their bags, we had a crew headed straight there.
As soon as they got there, they called in backup, as the work had immediately started piling up. Once our second crew arrived, they divided and conquered.
Going on 3 weeks since we were first onsite, not all of our team members have been able to come home yet. There are still an entire crew waiting and working on little things to finish up the jobs.
While each member is ready to be home, this is a very rewarding part of the job. This is when customers are finally at ease, and they know their homes are safe and sound.
