Summer Grilling Out Tips

Now that it is springtime and families are spending more time at home, there is a lot more cooking happening! One of the ways many families cook together is by grilling out. This is a fun, ease to clean up way to make plenty of food for the whole family. But before you go outside and fire up the grill, here are a few ways you can make sure you grill accident free!
- Never use or light your grill near any structures
- Never leave a grill unintended
- If your flame goes out, wait at least 5 minutes before reigniting
- If you use propane, regularly check the tank for any issues
- Make sure no clothing is in danger of getting in the flames
- Clean grill regularly, this cuts down on anything that could catch on fire
- All legs of the grill should be on a stable surface
- If you use charcoal, be careful when using lighter fluid
- And finally, make sure to always have water on hand in case of emergency
Taking care of potential issues before they arise is the best way to prevent any major disasters from happening, and keeping everyone happy and healthy all summer long!
