#NationalPreparednessMonth – Wrap Up, September 2020
Each year, Ready.gov gives great information about #NationalPreparednessMonth each week of September. This year, they broke the month down into weekly tasks to help you become more prepared for each type of disaster that couple hit your geographical area. Throughout the month, SERVPRO of Daviess County has encouraged families to jump on board, and work through the weekly activities. The activities for this year included making an emergency plan, building a home emergency kit, educating yourself about what disasters and emergencies threaten your area the most, and teaching the youth around you about preparedness.
A big thank you to each family that followed along with us throughout the month and completed all of the tasks. Each weeks assignments came with a different amount of work, but now that it is over and you should feel great about what you accomplished as a family!
You can still go back and go through the activities if you missed them live. The 2020 motto of Ready.gov’s #NationalPreparednessMonth is “Disasters Don’t Wait. Make Your Plan Today.”
That saying is so true. It is never the wrong time to prepare yourself and your family against the many different problems that could arise!
